🎒 Worldschooling Travel Essentials for Families
Travel Journal: This is actually something I designed as a way to encourage my children to write whilst we were on the road. I hadn’t been able to find exactly what I was after so here it is!
Yoto mini: These go EVERYWHERE with us. The boys have one each. They are handy portable speakers in which you can buy music cards, audiobooks and even educational cards for. Don’t forget your protective jacket!
Jacob’s personal review: ” I personally feel a yoto mini is the perfect companion for our travels.”
✨ Learning Tools and Educational Gear for the Road
Brainbox games: There are TONNES of versions of this game, perfect 10 minute game that can be played whilst on the plane, on a train and can be used by 1 person or as game play. Top tip for these, as the boxes are fairly bulky I take them out and put the cards into zip lock bags for flat packing. The link here is for the world one, because we are all obviously keen travellers here 😉
Rapidough: Think charades with playdough. This fun game can be played by 4+ players and we love it for a bit of creativity, again taking up a small amount of space!
Kindle Kids: I know nothing replaces an actual book, I love an actual book but we have to talk practicality and kindles just fit the bill. The kids ones are replaced and comes with 6 months of kids subscription with access to plenty of books. My boys are both avid readers as am I and it’s a must for us!
Magnetic Tiles: When my boys were younger these magnetic tiles worked a treat and kept them occupied for a long time!
Online resources: This is the link to my IG channel where I have partnered with a few other businesses/home educators that have provided me discount codes to share with fellow home educators and worldschoolers. It’s also a good place for a community chat. Many of these companies offer PDF versions of what they are creating which is why it is so useful for our community.
